Fantastic Get-Away!
Cedar Key B&B is literally a breath of fresh air. Whether sitting on the large porch area making new friends with other guests or enjoying a quite spot on our own balcony in the Tree House Suite, our visit was a welcome relief from all the Covid-19 stress and lockdown in our home area of South Florida. Everything was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfasts were new and delicious each day. Alice and the rest of her staff do a fantastic job. We took advantage of the 3 nights for the price of 2, which was a wonderful bonus! Our first visit to this lovely B&B was several years ago; we won’t wait so long to go back again.

Beautiful, Quiet, Friendly Staff with a excellent breakfast served.
This one is a keeper. If you want a peacful and quiet visit to Cedar Key, This is the place to stay. From the gourmet breakfast served, to the cookies and snacks they provide you, Cedar Key B&B is a winner. You can relax in the beautiful court yard on a swing, a bench or a chair and watch the sunset over the Gulf under the canopy of a 300 year old tree. Or take the golf cart for a spin for a tour of the town. So quiet, so peaceful, so reminiscent of old Florida. Enjoy, you don’t get much better than this.

A Gem
“Charming. A gem of a B&B. Serene, bucolic, calming and just plain chill-axing.
The gardens are impeccable and the room we had, Honeymoon Suite was adorable. Clean. Well maintained as is the entire inn.
The staff and owner could not be more pleasant or accommodating. The other guests, delightful.
Breakfast was delicious and served at 9 am. Coffee is on and out by 7:30 am. Grab a cup and relax on the cover porch and enjoy the views of the water while sitting and sipping and meditating and planning your day.
Bikes are available (free)and golf carts too to rent.
Just wished we had more than our overnight stay. Could’ve stayed longer on that porch, relaxed and unwind with a good book.
We will be returning. Longer.

My husband and I and our 2 doodles stayed here as a stopover for the night on our way further south in Florida. We are on a four week vacation and the Treehouse suite at Cedar Key Bed & Breakfast is our favorite! The proprietor, Alice and her staff were very welcoming and our room was spotless and smelled so fresh and clean. Not always the case when traveling with dogs. I’ve found many dog friendly places are sub par and not truly ‘dog friendly’. Our pups were greeted with open arms and we were very comfortable allowing them to roam around the fenced yard. Although you may not want to leave this beautiful property, the quaint little town is very nice too with cute shops downtown. Put this one high on your list! We will be repeat visitors. Charming, Comfortable & Relaxing best describe this wonderful slice of ‘Old Florida’ on the Gulf of Mexico. Cedar Key Bed and Breakfast was a welcome respite from the traffic and congestion in Florida’s larger cities and resorts further south. Alice and her staff make you feel at home the moment you arrive and check in. The entire property depicts pride of ownership and attention to the smallest detail. The hot breakfast served promptly each morning at 9:00 were all very delicious, meticulously prepared and visually appealing. Do yourselves a favor, take a step back in time and enjoy Cedar Key Bed and Breakfast, you’ll be happy you did!
We visited the Cedar Key Bed and Breakfast about 10 years ago and returned to celebrate New Years Eve on Cedar Key. The first visit we stayed in the main guest house and this time around, we stayed at the Sunrise Suite just down the road, but with direct water views. The swing out front was used every morning and every evening with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. You don’t get tired of the view. The breakfast and hospitality that won our hearts the first time around, was again wonderful this time. We were able to bring our big dog with us and she enjoyed visiting with other pets and visitors at the main house. If you are looking for a laid back Florida town and water activities, then Cedar key is a gem. The B&B makes the weekend complete.
This beautiful quaint bed and breakfast is the perfect place to stay for a little get away. It is close to the water, the downtown, the dock street area all walking distance, and most beautiful sunsets just out the back door of the property. The owner, Alice, and her staff have thought of every possible way to make your stay the best. Their hospitality can’t be beat and the breakfasts so yummy. They were running a special of staying 3 nights and get the third night free. Can’t beat that and I hope we will be able to stay there again real soon.
What a great find. Cedar Key is like going back in time to the 50’s & 60’s in Florida. The city is rich in history. The property is surrounded by 400-500 year old oak trees. Imagine the stories they could tell. The rooms are like stepping back in time with a great mattress to sleep on. The B&B offers free bicycles and rents golf carts u can drive anywhere in the city. Breakfast is served at 900 on weekends. It was more than enough to eat and they are willing to adapt for special dietary needs. Looking to destress? This place is calling you. Cheers!
Our visit lasted 3 days and Alice and her friendly staff at Cedar Key Bed and Breakfast couldn’t have possibly made our stay any better. At check-in we were shown the kitchen where dishes, utensils, glasses, popcorn, microwave, etc. were available for guests to use. A refrigerator was available for guest needs (take home boxes from restaurants & such). They took the time to show us a map of the town and where the restaurants & other places of interest were located. We were also given some idea of what each eatery specialized in. Our room was breathtakingly beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast at the inn is something you won’t want to miss! Fresh cooked and different every day. This was one of the most relaxing places we’ve ever stayed & will definitely return.
We have stayed at this amazing B&B on both visits to Cedar Key and are already planning another weekend get away! The home is gorgeous, the grounds delightful and the owners and staff amazing. For an interactive and friendly weekend, chose a room in the B&B so you can swap stories, sip a glass of wine and ‘meet your neighbors’. For a more intimate stay, chose one of the rooms in the adjunct home that offers sweeping views of the ocean while still be able to take advantage of all the main house amenities.
